Camping at the PresidioCAP provides opportunities for local youth that traditionally have not visited their national parks the benefits of a camping experience by providing an economical, supportive and accessible system for teachers and leaders to bring their youth camping in their local national park.

2009 Community Hero AwardDo you know someone who has worked tirelessly to improve their environment? Has the individual or group inspired others to take action and improved the quality of life for their community? If yes, nominate them to be the next Community Hero. Recipients have their work showcased in a year-long exhibit at the Crissy Field Center and are recognized at the annual Community Heroes Award Ceremony in May. Each year, The Brower Youth Awards recognize people ages 13 to 22 living in North America who have shown outstanding leadership on a project with positive environmental and social impact.
Find out more about these six charismatic young heroes for Planet Earth, whose stories and struggles inspire people of all ages in an exhibit on display on the second floor of the Center.
