SUMMER CAMPFor campers entering grades 1-8 in the Fall
Experience your national park in a new way, every day, at Crissy Field Summer Camp. Our one- and two-week day camps are designed to give young people in-depth experiences in our urban environment and regional national parks. Through a rich combination of outdoor investigation, field outings, and fun, hands-on projects, campers learn important ecological concepts and issues. Details
FANTASTIC FRIDAYSParent and tot playtime at Crissy Field. Every Friday from June 13 to August 15, with some exceptions. 10 am to Noon. No class: June 6, and July 4, 2008
Ages: 2 to 5, with parent, guardian or caregiver
Fee: $10 per child, per day
Crissy Field is a magical and safe place for toddlers to explore the outdoors with their five senses and to develop a lasting appreciation for living things. Spend quality time with your child making sand animals, becoming bug detectives, listening with your 'deer ears,' and more. It's a different adventure every week, full of creative activities you can use over and over during your own family getaways! There will also be time inside, in the Center's Art Lab, making fish prints, pirate scopes, and more!

Week 3 - 6/27 -- Boats and Ships: Sinkers and Floaters, Build a Boat, Sea Shanties
Week 4 - 7/4 -- NO CLASS - 4th of July Holiday
Week 5 - 7/11 -- Planting and Growing: Nature's Color Wheel, Plants and Their Parts. I can Grow it! I'm Growing, too!
Week 6 - 7/18 -- Marsh Magic: Marsh Sponges, Mud Pies, Six Little Ducks
Week 7 - 7/25 -- Wings and Whirligigs: Birds Beaks and the Bay - Let's Wing It! Whirligig Garden
Week 8 - 8/1 -- Beach Party: Beach Critters, Shore Shapes, Beach Blanket Bingo
Week 9 - 8/8 -- Park People: Meet the Firefighter; Ranger for a Day; Park Police and Their Ponies!
Week 10 - 8/15 -- Down By the Bay: Splish Splash Water Play! Wet and Dry; Sand and Shells

MYSTERY TRAIL CHALLENGEAvailable everyday
9 am to 4 pm FREE
Self-guided; recommended for families and groups with children ages 5 to 10.
Calling all seaside sleuths! Grab a magnifying glass and get down to the Warming Hut, near the fishing pier at the western end of Crissy Field. Once there, you'll find a booklet that directs you down the Mystery Trail in search of the first clue. There are nine secret plaques altogether, hidden along a one-mile waterfront trail-can you find them all? A prize awaits you if you can! Take the Crissy Field Mystery Trail Challenge, unlock its secrets, and claim your surprise!
