Sutro Slope Rehabilitation: Saturday 12/13 & Wednesday 12/17
Time: 9am-Noon

Location: meet at Sutro Heights Park Eastern Entrance, Anza Street and 48th Avenue, San Francisco (MAP)

We're looking for volunteers to help us cleanup and rehab an area of Sutro Heights Park, informally known as Sutro Slope. Sutro Slope is a long neglected, but beautiful site that lies between Sutro Heights Park and Sutro Dunes, just above Ocean Beach. With your help, we're planning to reclaim this area that is currently overgrown with brush and prone to vandalism and restore its sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean while also improving visitor safety and reducing fire danger. Specific activities will include cleaning up trash, cutting back brush and broken tree limbs with handsaws, and clearing overgrown vegetation and brush. Volunteers will be working in a sandy area and should bring sturdy shoes, as well as long pants and long sleeve shirts for working in dense vegetation. We'll provide all of the tools and snacks, all you have to bring is the proper clothing, your waiver form, and some good energy. We hope that you can join us for some rewarding work along the coast! Registration is requested.
